Yes, Chick-fil-A gives you free food on your birthday if you’re a Chick-fil-A One member. Add your birthday to your account at least 24 hours ahead, and the reward appears in the app on your birthday. It stays valid for 30 days. What you get depends on your tier: a cookie or brownie for Members, all the way up to any entrée for Signature members.

Two rules apply to every tier. Chick-fil-A doesn’t allow substitutions on the birthday reward, and the reward covers one listed item only, not a meal. Chick-fil-A also says the options can change without notice, so your app has the final word.

How to Set It Up (Do This Once, Carefully)
- Sign in to your Chick-fil-A One account in the app or at chick-fil-a.com.
- Open your profile and choose Edit Profile.
- Enter your birthday.
- Tap Save information.
You can’t edit your birthday after saving it. Chick-fil-A locks the date once it’s entered, so check the month and day before you tap save. A typo means your reward lands on the wrong day every year.
When It Arrives and How Long It Lasts
- At least 24 hours beforeYour birthday must already be saved on your account. If you add it later than this, Chick-fil-A holds the reward until next year.
- On your birthdayThe reward shows up under Rewards → My Rewards. If your birthday falls on a Sunday, it arrives a day early, on Saturday.
- 30 days laterThe reward expires. Expired rewards can’t be reloaded, so don’t let it sit.
How to Redeem It
Add the reward item to a mobile order in the app, or scan your Chick-fil-A One QR code at the counter or drive-thru when you order that item. The reward also works on Chick-fil-A Delivery and on DoorDash-powered delivery ordered inside the Chick-fil-A App.
Watch the auto-redeem. When you scan, any reward that matches an item in your order gets used automatically. Buying a brownie for a friend could quietly spend your birthday brownie. To save it, switch the reward redemption toggle off before you scan.
Where It Won’t Work
- Catering orders. Chick-fil-A rewards can’t be applied to catering.
- Licensed locations. Airport, hospital and office-complex restaurants, plus Chick-fil-A Express, don’t accept the app.
- Third-party apps. Orders placed in the DoorDash, Uber Eats or Grubhub apps can’t use Chick-fil-A One rewards.
- Gifting. Silver and higher members can gift rewards, but only rewards bought with points. A birthday reward isn’t bought with points, so you can’t send it to someone else.
Birthday Reward Not Showing? Check These
- Update the app. Chick-fil-A requires the latest version of the app to issue the reward.
- Check when you saved your birthday. Fewer than 24 hours before the day means you’ll get it next year.
- Look in the right place. Go to Rewards → My Rewards in the app, or sign in on the website.
- Born on a Sunday this year? Check Saturday. The reward came a day early.
- Under 18? Since March 23, 2026, Chick-fil-A One members must be at least 18. Younger guests may lose app access, though the website still works for viewing rewards.
