Chick-fil-A Breakfast Menu 2026: Items, Calories & Best Picks

Chick-fil-A serves breakfast Monday through Saturday from opening (usually 6:30 AM) until 10:30 AM. The official breakfast page lists 15 regular items plus one limited-time sandwich: chicken biscuits, egg-and-cheese biscuits and English muffins, the Egg White Grill, Chick-n-Minis, two Hash Brown Scramble options, and three sides. Calories run from 70 (Fruit Cup) to 700 (Hash Brown Scramble Burrito), and most sandwiches cost roughly $4.45 to $6.70 depending on your location.

If you just want the full price list, our Chick-fil-A menu covers every item. This guide goes further on breakfast alone: what is new this fall, which bread base actually suits your order, the best picks for protein, calories or budget, and how to customize the items most people never touch.

New This Fall: Chicken & Waffles Breakfast Sandwich

The headline breakfast addition of 2026 arrived on August 24. The Chicken & Waffles Breakfast Sandwich puts a breakfast-size filet, three strips of applewood-smoked bacon and honey butter spread between two maple-flavored waffles, with a cup of syrup on the side. It was tested in select markets in 2025 before going nationwide as part of Chick-fil-A’s 80th-anniversary “Newstalgia” campaign.

Filet choiceCaloriesNotes
Original (breaded)53026 g fat, 55 g carbs, 22 g protein
Spicy530Same build, cayenne-seasoned breading
Grilled440Lightest version; best if you plan to use the syrup

Three things worth knowing before you order:

  • It is a different sandwich after 10:30. The breakfast version uses a smaller filet and waffle. From 10:30 AM to close you get the larger entrée version instead, at a higher price.
  • Watch the syrup. Chick-fil-A lists the syrup cup at 60 calories on its own. The honey butter already sweetens the waffles, so using half the cup costs you little flavor.
  • It is limited time. Chick-fil-A has not published an end date. Treat it as a fall item and check the app before you drive over for it.

Prices vary by restaurant, so confirm the local price in the Chick-fil-A app.

Biscuit, Muffin or Bowl? How to Choose Your Base

Most Chick-fil-A breakfast items come in a biscuit or English muffin version, and that choice changes the meal more than the filling does.

  • Buttermilk biscuit: baked fresh in each restaurant every morning, soft and buttery. It is the reason people line up for the Chicken Biscuit. It is also the heaviest base. The Sausage, Egg & Cheese Biscuit (620 cal) carries 130 more calories than the same filling on a muffin (490 cal).
  • English muffin: toasted, firmer and noticeably lighter. Moving from biscuit to muffin saves about 120–140 calories on the egg-and-cheese sandwiches. It holds up better if you are eating in the car.
  • Bowl: no bread at all. The Hash Brown Scramble Bowl has 19 g of carbs, versus 45 g in a plain Chicken Biscuit. Order it without hash browns and the carbs drop further.
  • Tortilla: the burrito wraps the bowl’s filling in a flour tortilla. At 700 calories it is the largest item on the menu, so treat it as a full meal.

A simple rule: pick the biscuit when it is a treat, the muffin on a workday, and the bowl when you are counting carbs.

Best Chick-fil-A Breakfast Orders by Goal

Highest protein for the calories: the Egg White Grill. It packs 27 g of protein into 300 calories, with grilled chicken, egg whites and American cheese on an English muffin. Add a Fruit Cup and the meal is still only 370 calories.

Most protein without bread: the Hash Brown Scramble Bowl with nuggets, at 29 g of protein. Swap in the grilled filet if you want to cut fat.

Lowest calories: the Bacon, Egg & Cheese Muffin or the Egg White Grill, both 300 calories. The Fruit Cup (70 cal) is the lightest side.

Lower carb: the Scramble Bowl, ordered without hash browns. The bread is where the carbs live: the Chicken Biscuit has 45 g and the Chicken & Waffles sandwich 55 g.

On a budget: a Chicken Biscuit plus a small coffee usually lands around $6.50–$8.50 before tax. Chick-n-Minis in a 4-count are good value if you are sharing with a child.

Vegetarian: Chick-fil-A has no meatless breakfast sandwich on the official menu. Your options are the Berry Parfait, Fruit Cup, Hash Browns, or a Scramble Bowl ordered with no meat.

Watching sodium: go easy on the biscuits. A plain Chicken Biscuit alone carries 1,510 mg, about two-thirds of the 2,300 mg daily limit the FDA recommends. The Egg White Grill is 990 mg.

How to Customize the Hash Brown Scramble Bowl and Burrito

The Scramble Bowl and Burrito are the most flexible items on the breakfast menu, yet most guests order the default. Both start with scrambled eggs, a Monterey Jack and Cheddar blend and hash browns, and come with Jalapeño Salsa on the side.

You then choose a protein:

  • Chick-fil-A Nuggets (the default)
  • Spicy chicken
  • Grilled filet
  • Sausage
  • Bacon
  • No meat

On the bowl, each version can also be ordered with no hash browns, and most stores allow similar swaps on the burrito. That gives you a dozen bowl combinations from one menu item. Our favorite builds:

  1. Grilled filet, no hash browns: the leanest, lowest-carb hot breakfast Chick-fil-A makes.
  2. Spicy chicken with the salsa: the most flavor for the calories.
  3. No meat: the only hot, meat-free breakfast entrée.

Make these changes in the app rather than at the speaker. The app shows every option and updates the nutrition as you build.

Breakfast Sides, Drinks and Smart Pairings

Ordering a breakfast meal adds a side and a drink to your entrée. The default side is Hash Browns, but you can swap to a Fruit Cup at most locations.

One detail many menu sites get wrong: Chick-fil-A’s hash browns are cooked in canola oil, not the peanut oil used for its chicken. The breaded chicken is pressure-cooked in fully refined peanut oil.

Drinks that work best in the morning:

  • Hot coffee from THRIVE Farmers, a direct-trade roaster. Zero calories black.
  • Iced Coffee, original or vanilla, for warmer mornings.
  • Frosted Coffee, coffee blended with Icedream. Treat it as dessert. The seasonal S’mores Frosted Coffee runs through November 14, 2026, while supplies last.
  • Simply Orange juice, 1% milk or chocolate milk for kids.

Three pairings we keep coming back to:

Timing Your Order Around the 10:30 Switchover

Breakfast ends at 10:30 AM sharp at most restaurants, and the kitchen changes over fast. A few practical tips from regulars:

  • Arrive by 10:15. The drive-thru line you join at 10:25 may not reach the speaker until after the menu switches.
  • Order ahead in the app. A mobile order placed before 10:30 locks in breakfast items, then you pick it up at the counter, drive-thru or curbside.
  • Go early for Chick-n-Minis. Busy stores can run short on the rolls between 8 and 9 AM on weekdays.
  • Know what crosses over. After 10:30 the Chicken & Waffles sandwich switches to its larger entrée size. Biscuits, muffins, Minis and Scramble items do not carry over.
  • No Sunday breakfast. Every Chick-fil-A is closed on Sundays.

Airport, campus and stadium locations often keep their own hours, so check the store page in the app. For full daily and holiday hours, see our Chick-fil-A hours guide.

Breakfast for Groups and Allergy Notes

Feeding an office or a team? Chick-fil-A’s breakfast catering covers trays of Chick-n-Minis, individual biscuits, Berry Parfaits, fruit, and boxed coffee or gallon drinks. Larger trays generally need 24 hours’ notice. A Medium Chick-n-Minis tray (40 pieces) comfortably feeds about 15 people when paired with fruit. See our catering menu for tray sizes and prices.

Before ordering for someone with allergies, keep these points in mind:

  • Peanut: breaded chicken is cooked in fully refined peanut oil. The FDA does not treat highly refined peanut oil as a major allergen, but people with severe allergies should speak to their doctor first.
  • Wheat and gluten: every biscuit, muffin, waffle and tortilla contains wheat, and so does the nugget breading. A Scramble Bowl with grilled filet and the Fruit Cup are the bread-free choices, but the kitchen is not gluten-free.
  • Milk, egg and soy: most breakfast sandwiches contain all three. The Egg White Grill is labeled for milk, egg, soy and wheat.

For anything serious, use the official nutrition and allergen tool and tell the team member when you order.
